The month of May is designated as National Preservation Month. This year, Boyle Landmark Trust and The Arts Commission of Danville/Boyle County have partnered to celebrate historic preservation throughout Boyle County. This year’s theme is “Picturing Preservation: An Art Collection of Historic Boyle County Landmarks.” On Thursday, May 11th, 2017, starting at 5pm, Warrenwood Manor will be transformed into an art gallery. Over 20 unique pieces of art depicting some of Boyle County’s most significant historic structures will be on display. Most of them are privately owned and have never been available for public display. There will also be an exhibit of photographs from the Boyle County Public Library’s archives showing a number of structures no longer in existence.
This event is free to the public and light refreshments will be included.
